Ecumenical?

The word ecumenical comes from the Greek oikoumenikos, which meant the whole inhabited world.

Today it is a word we use in relation to churches of different denominations across the world, who relate to each other as friends, and who co-operate and work together, even though their history and way of doing things may be different.

The Church of Christ the Servant is an official partnership of BaptistsMethodists and the United Reformed Church (URC) and the founding of this church was also supported by the Roman Catholic and Anglican churches.

In practice this means our minister can be a Baptist, URC or, as in the case of our current Minister, Rev Rachael Wilson, Methodist.

About Us

We are an ecumenical congregation situated in the Abbey Meads area of North Swindon.

Our regular services are at 10.30am every Sunday. These are fairly informal and are led either by our minister, Rev. Rachael Wilson, or by a visiting speaker. We warmly welcome everyone of all ages and abilities to worship with us.
